Dr Steven Thou is a Sydney based Obstetrician and Gynaecologist serving in the St George and Bankstown areas. He has admitting rights to St George Public Hospital, St George Private Hospital, Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital and Hurstville Private Hospital.

Originally from Malaysia, Dr Thou grew up in Kingsgrove and was educated at Kingsgrove High School. He undertook his medical degree at the University of New South Wales and graduated with Honours. Dr Thou has been working in the St George area since completing university in 1996.

He speaks English and Mandarin.

Areas of Sub-Specialty/Special Interests:

• In conjunction with the midwives, Dr Thou oversees the management of home births in the St George area through the birth centre at St George Hospital.
• High risk pregnancy including management of pre-eclampsia and gestational diabetes mellitus and vaginal birth after caesarean. Advanced laparoscopic procedures.
