Dr Sarah Chwah is a Sydney local, having grown up in the inner west of Sydney. Dr Chwah completed an undergraduate degree in Medical Science at the University of NSW (UNSW) and continued her studies in sunny Queensland, obtaining a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of QLD in 2010.

Dr Chwah returned to Sydney to start her medical career at St George Hospital, where she also completed her FRANZCOG training. This training saw her rotate through several hospitals, gaining extensive experience, including: Sutherland Hospital, The Royal Women’s Hospital, Lismore Base Hospital and Bankstown Hospital.

During Dr Chwah's training she also completed a Masters of Reproductive Medicine with Excellence through UNSW. She has a special interest in performing minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery and spent her final year of training performing keyhole surgery at Sutherland Hospital.

Dr Chwah has a keen interest in education and teaching, which saw her complete Foundations of University Learning and Teaching through UNSW. She is also a Conjoint Associate Lecturer at UNSW, which enables her to be involved with the education and training of junior doctors.

When she is not at work, her husband and Dr Chwah have our hands full with their two beautiful little girls.
