Dr Calvin Hsieh graduated with honours from the University of New South Wales medical school. His cardiology training commenced in Westmead Hospital, considered in the past to be the home of cardiac electrophysiology in Australia.
He completed an extensive fellowship in electrophysiology and cardiac device management in the Freeman Hospital, a combined tertiary and quaternary referral hospital in the United Kingdom.
Dr Hsieh has a strong research interest in electrophysiology, winning the Ralph Reader Award for his research into ventricular tachycardia, award by the combined Australia and New Zealand Cardiac Society. He continues in this vein with research with the only cardiac electrophysiology company in Australia.
In the last few years, Dr Hsieh has become one the the premier experts in conduction system pacing, and leadless pacing in NSW. He continues to achieve excellent results in electrophysiology, and has established Hurstville Private as one of the two top centres for electrophysiology in Sydney.
Dr Hsieh consults at Hurstville Private Heart Centre and The Cardiac Centres' Wollongong Shellharbour practices. Speaks Chinese/ Mandarin
