Your new role as an Anaesthetic Registered Nurse
As an enthusiastic Registered Nurse ready to join our Anaesthetic Team at Hurstville Private you will get to experience our 7 theatres, providing critical care to both complex and day surgery patients including; Robotic, Orthopaedic, Colorectal, Urology, General, Bariatric, Plastic, Gynaecology and Obstetrics surgeries.

As part of the Perioperative Unit, you will work in a team that values professional development, commitment to excellence in patient care, and appreciates your contributions of someone who wants to make a difference. You will be supported by the Perioperative Services Manager, Clinical Nurse Educator, Clinical Nurse Specialist, and an experienced leadership team who emphasise and promote ongoing clinical education within the Perioperative Unit.

About You

Being a person that enjoys and thrives in a busy environment, have a high standard for customer service and be open to growth opportunities, to ensure your success in this role, you will have:

Essential Criteria

  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Anaesthetic nursing
  • Demonstrated clinical competence with proven ability to operate confidently in a Theatre Unit
  • Demonstrated collaborative and well-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient centred care
  • Well-developed time management skills with a high degree of initiative
  • Experience with computerised reporting systems
  • Commitment to professional development and to a structured learning program
  • Immunisation Evidence (including full COVID vaccination and seasonal influenza) and additional serology report

You may also be able to demonstrate:

Desirable Criteria

  • Completion of a post graduate qualification
  • Membership of relevant professional organisation
