Dr Fuentes completed FRACS training in General Surgery at the John Hunter Hospital in 2011; subspecialty training in Breast Oncologic Surgery at the Westmead Breast Cancer Institute in 2012; further training in acute, general and trauma surgery at Liverpool Hospital in 2013.

Dr Fuentes brings experience in the latest therapeutic and diagnostic techniques for the treatment of breast disease, in particular, oncoplastic breast surgery, which aims at removing breast cancer while preserving or reconstructing the natural shape of the breast, in a multidisciplinary setting.

Other skills include diagnostic breast ultrasound and implant-based single and two-stage breast reconstruction, following mastectomy.
