Mohamad has special interests in sports-related orthopaedics – particularly knee surgery, as well as hand surgery, foot surgery and fractures. He strongly promotes evidence-based decision making and collaborating with patients throughout the surgical process. Mohamad graduated in medicine from Sydney University. He is an examiner with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and is often called as an expert witness in workers compensation cases.

He has a Lebanese background, but grew up in Venezuela before migrating with his parents to Australia. Mohamad is fluent in Spanish and Arabic.
