Hurstville's Cleaning and Support team have stepped up to help combat the spread of COVID-19.
Hurstville Private Hospital's Domestic Services team and Operating Assistants have recently completed the new heightened cleaning procedures training.
Hurstville Private Hospitals Domestic Services team and Operating Assistants have recently completed the new heightened cleaning procedures training. The Education included comprehensive training on how to eradicate the virus from surfaces, should the situation arise. The team has already been able to implement their new skills of enhanced cleaning procedures in areas around the hospital including Operating Theatres, Cardiac Cath Labs, ICU, Patient rooms and Public Areas.
Hurstville’s Environmental Manager Matthew Carter says “The Cleaning services and Operating Assistants are truly on the front line in help fighting the spread of the virus in the hospital. The team pride themselves on achieving only the highest standard of care for our staff, patients and visitors in ensuring a clean and safe environment.”
The role of a Housekeeper and Operating Assistant can be intimidating and overwhelming at times. The ability to carry out the tasks required and to maintain a smile on their faces is something that should not be taken for granted.
